Everyday you get the opportunity to restart. If there is nothing in your life you can muster up the strength to be grateful for, start with the present day you’re waking up to. “There is nothing worth more than this day.” -Goethe He’s right. It’s the day itself that is our greatest gift. When we are untethered and uncertain rooting back to acknowledging the wonders, magic and mystery of a new day is the opportunity to see beyond your circumstances. It grounds you into the present moment and adjusts your frame of mind from lack to gratitude.


I've created an easy tool to reclaim your sense of gratitude and soothe your mind.

If you’re living under a rock you may not know that there is a popular movement to have a gratitude practice. They come in the form of: Writing down daily what you are grateful for. Defining what you are grateful for in your job, marriage, kids, life etc. and repeating that in trying times. People go as far as tattooing a word that reminds them of what to be grateful for. They’re all saying the same thing; the act of gratitude will lead you to happiness.


There is now science and research that proves this theory to be true. You no longer have to wonder if this actually works. It does.

Great spiritual teachers have known this to be true by faith and practice. We now know it with scientific proof. Having a habit of finding and declaring what your grateful for in a moment is the secret to happiness. Without acknowledging what you are grateful for the inner critic, negative self talk, anxiety and stress of one single day can snowball into you living years in a dark vacuum. There is something to be grateful for in every moment.


It is truly as simple as practicing the act of changing your belief from worry, fear, frustration, sadness, unworthiness, anxiety and doubt to gratitude. You can do it. When you do practice this you are actually stimulating two important parts of your brain: hypothalamus, which regulates stress, and the ventral tegmental area, which plays a significant role in the brain’s reward system that produces feelings of pleasure. There is no mystery here. You are in fact taking part of rewiring and actively working on certain regions of your brain. This isn’t just spiritual mumbo jumbo; its science.
